Tanah Lot

Tanah Lot, one of the most popular places of interest in Bali, is located on the coast of West Bali, at the village of Beraban in the Tabanan Regency.It is also called Tanah Let which means ancient land and also Tanah Lot, which means the land to the south.

The temple Pura Tanah Lot, simple in its construction, is dramatic in its ocean-front location and is one of the main temples in the worship of Balinese gods.Tanah Lot has a long history in the world of tourism.The temple itself is built on a small promontory which is only accessible at low tide.During high water the rock takes on the appearance of a large boat at sea, such is its shape.






Poisonous snakes live in the nearby caves to 'guard' the temple and contribute to the temple's dangerous reputation.Sunset is the best time to visit Tanah lot, when the golden red skies frame the temple and waves crash into the rocks.It is advisable to avoid the tourist crush here as it can be severe.

Kecak Dances

The Kecak Dance tells the Indian story of Ramayana. Rama, a warrior and rightful hier to the throne of Ayodya, is exiled with his wife Sita to a faraway desert. There, an evil king spies Sita, falls in love with her, and sends a golden deer to lure Rama away. Sita is captured, and Rama rounds up his armies to defeat those of the evil king and rescue her. Rama is the man in green dancing in the center of the circle, the golden deer is in yellow in the back.

What makes the Kecak such a fascinating dance to watch are the fifty or so men in the checkered pants. They are both the choir and the props, providing the music for the story in a series of constant vocal chants that change with the mood of the actors. They don't sit still, either, they wave their arms to simulate fire, and reposition themselves around the stage to represent wind and fire, prison cells, and unseen hand of protection from the gods.

The dance is played in five acts and lasts roughly 45 minutes. Weekly (in some places daily) performances of the Kecak abound around the island, but the most well-known Kecak theater is in the town of Batubulan just north of the Balinese capital of Denpasar. The dance company provides transportation for a nominal fee to and from the resort.
Attending a Kecak recital is a must for any visitor to Bali. It is a wondrous experience,
and a window into the musical and artistic culture that make the Balinese a special people.

Mother Temple of Besakih

The Mother Temple of Besakih, or Pura Besakih, in the village of Besakih on the slopes of Mount Agung in eastern Bali, is the most important temple of Agama Hindu Dharma in Bali, Indonesia and one of a series of Balinese temples.
The temple probably dates to the fourteenth century. It was built on the south slopes of Mount Agung, the principle volcano of Bali. The temple is actually a complex made up of twenty-two temples that sit on parallel ridges. It has stepped terraces and flights of stairs which ascend to a number of courtyards and brick gateways that lead up to the main spired meru structure, which is called Pura Penataran Agung. All this is aligned on a single axis and designed to lead the spiritual upward and closer to the mountain which is considered sacred.



The symbolic center or main sanctuary of the complex is the Pura Penataran Agungand and the
lotus throne or padmasana is the symbolic center of the main sanctuary and ritual focus of the entire complex. It dates to around the seventeenth century.
A series of eruptions of Mount Agung in 1963, which killed approximately 1,700 people also threatened Puru Besakih. The lava flows missed the temple complex by mere yards. The saving
of the temple is regarded by the Balinese people as miraculous, and a signal from the gods that they wished to demonstrate their power but not destroy the monument the Balinese faithful had erected.
Annually there are at least seventy festivals held at the complex each year since there is a early anniversary celebrating almost every shrine. This yearly cycle is based on the 210-day Balinese wuku calendar system.

While the surfers are still part of the Kuta scene, it's the shopping, nightlife and party vibes that attracts thousands of visitors. There's a huge choice of accommodation, restaurants and entertainment. The accommodation in Kuta range from a modest home stay for a few dollars a night to luxurious, five star, international hotels costing several hundred to several thousand dollars a night. Legian Street, situated directly behind the row of hotels that face the beach, is lined with shops of all varieties. We can find any Balinese handicrafts here, from the least expensive to the most exquisite; or unique stores such as the leather store staffed by two young Balinese men that will perfectly sculpt a leather jacket. (They are all extremely talented artists). _At night, Kuta is alive with night life. Western influences create discotheques, dance clubs, and pubs. Gastronomical demands inspire a multitude of restaurants, serving traditional Indonesian and Balinese food to various ethnic meals from Japan, Switzerland, etc. As if these were not enough, various Balinese dance performances are staged in Kuta every night. One of the best Kecak performances is found in Kuta.

Menjangan Island is located in west of Bali Island, near of Gilimanuk harbor. To visited this place need about 4 hours from Denpasar. Menjangan Island has many diving site that have contour shaping wall diving. Here you can do diving activity all day long and all season. In this place we can also find some kind of shark, like white shark, black tip, grey shark, napoleon, etc.


Menjangan Island habitatly many deers. So, don’t be surprised if there are deers move around you when you have sit relaxed here. This Island was the largest population of deers in Indonesia maybe in the world. But, amount of deers in Menjangan was abate because of human activity that not responsible.
The government aware about that, and they put this Island into Taman Nasional Bali Barat ( National Park of West Bali). The government protect everything in this Island. This is an action to save them from extincty. Not only deers, Taman Nasional Bali Barat also known as habitation og Jalak Bali bird.
Menjangan Island most visited by tourist that like enjoy view of sea park. If you like about traveling, don’t missed to visited this place.

Bedugul

Bedugul is the name of the Village in the Tabanan Region, Province of Bali, Indonesia. Bedugul Village located at the high plateau at the center of Bali island, the altitude of Bedugul Village about 1500 Meter above the sea level, the temperatute is a little bit cooler about 18-22 Degrees Celcius, and tend to chilly at night time, so Bedugul Village is a pleasant place to live in Bali the Island of heaven.

You could reach Bedugul Village about 2 hours by car from Denpasar the Capital City of Bali province, in Bedugul Village a lot of accommodation available with the price relatively cheap, also it is easy to find Cafe or restaurant, so you may not worried to get hungry in Bedugul Village.

Sacred Monkey Forest

At the end of Monkey Forest Road is the Mandala Wisata Wenara Wana, or Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. True to its name, the sanctuary is home to three troupes of long-tailed Balinese Macaques, totaling about 200 monkeys. These forest denizens are always open to handouts of food from visitors, although it is far safer to avoid feeding them, as they can become quite aggressive once they know you have food.




In addition to the monkeys, the forest is home to three temples, dating from around the 14th century. The largest is the Pura Dalem Agung, located on the highest point of the forest. A path through the trunk of a huge tree and across a small creek leads to the Holy Bathing Temple. The third temple, the Pura Prajapati, is a cremation temple and located next to one of the two graveyards in the monkey forest.
